Visiting Professor of Sociology, Institute of Social and Cultural studies, University of the Punjab, Lahore.

Dr. Khalil Ahmad has been Professor of Sociology and Director Sughra Begum Center for Education Policy and Development (SuBCEPAD) in the Institute of Social and Cultural Studies, University of the Punjab. Dr. Ahmad’s academic and research career spreads over 30 years. He earned his PhD in Sociology from the University of the Punjab, Lahore in 2010. Violence and Preventing/Countering violence (P/CV), Gender and Violence, Social Gerontology, Sociology of Deviance and Crime remain major areas of interest for Dr. Ahmad.

He has been visiting research fellow of CORT, India, Gates Institute (Johns Hopkins University) USA, Arizona State University, USA. Dr. Ahmad has supervised doctoral and M.Phil level researches. He has published articles in reputed national and international HEC recognized journals. Dr. Ahmad organized, participated and presented papers in national and international conferences. He participated as guest speaker in various seminars/special lectures.

Currently, he is a member of Punjab Chapter and visiting research fellow at SPDI. He is also working as a visiting professor of Sociology, University of the Punjab, Lahore. Dr. Ahmad is member of various academic bodies and evaluator of research papers/PhD dissertations/HEC academic assignments.

Dr. Ahmad has supervised a number of research projects as a principal investigator and co-investigator and looks forward to keep contributing in research and academic arena.
