Syeda Safina Ali holds an MSc in Environmental Sciences from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, where her work focused on innovative wastewater treatment and resource recovery using algal bio-electrochemical systems. Her professional and academic interests encompass climate resilience, water and wastewater management, circular economy, nature-based solutions, and environmental sustainability. She has authored peer reviewed international publications and contributed to high impact national and international initiatives addressing environmental and climate related challenges.

As a Research Assistant within the Sustainability and Resilience Programme at the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), she contributes to research on climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, environmental policy, and sustainable development. Her responsibilities include project implementation, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, technical reporting, and the development of evidence-based knowledge products that support informed decision making and strengthen climate resilient development.
