Romila Qamar did her MPhil in Economics and Finance from Pakistan Institute of Development Economics, Islamabad. Currently, she is managing SDPI’s Journal of Development Policy, Research & Practice as Associate Editor.

With 10 years of professional experience in research and teaching, she has performed key roles in, editorial management, peer review facilitation, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies to enhance scholarly communication. She has extensive expertise in research journal publishing and networking, peer review ethics, open access, digital transformation of publishing, and quality assurance.

Prior to joining SDPI, she remained associated with the University of Management and Technology, Minhaj University, Government College University, and RAPH Consultants. She has conducted many trainings on journal publishing, open journal system, editorial process, new journals launch, HEC accreditation, etc. Her areas of interest are enhancement in research visibility and post-publication process. She has contributed a number of papers in HEC approved Y-category journals. Besides she presented a paper titled: ‘Students' and teachers' perspectives on the effects of online learning during COVID-19: A case of Pakistan,’ at the First International Management, Entrepreneurship and Leadership Conference held at Kogi State University, Anyigba (Nigeria).
