Junaid Zahid is currently working as Project Director, National Food Security Portal, at SDPI. He received his MPhil degree in Public Policy from Ripha International University, Islamabad. Having an extensive experience of research on Digital Transformation, Food Security, Economy, Climate Change, Environment, CPEC and Education. His major works include: Scoping Study of Central Data Facility on Food Supply Chain, SDGs Pulse Portal, Pakistan Data Portal, Impact of COVID-19 on Labours, Dynamics of unidimensional and multidimensional inequality, Environment Barometer, Deforestation to Reforestation and Priority comparison of Metro-Project, ‘Alif Ailaan District Education Ranking, 2013; ‘Alif Ailaan District Education Ranking, 2014’; Alif Ailaan District Education Ranking 2015, and ‘Prospect of Shale Oil and Gas in Pakistan’; ‘Impact of climate change on Mangroves ecosystem in South Asia’; ‘Voters Education Initiative’. He has also been a part of Advocacy on Education, REDD+, Women’s participation in Politics and Climate Change. He is author of more than 20 publications.
