Visiting Research Fellow

Dr. Shehryar Khan was a Research Fellow at the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI). He holds a PhD from the University of Bath, UK. His doctoral thesis examines problems of governance in Pakistan from a non-normative perspective, through an ethnography of three distinct case studies in a district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (previously known as North Western Frontier Province), Pakistan. His research interests are: Governance and service delivery in social, political and institutional contexts. At SDPI, he was involved in research projects concerning youth and social cohesion, horizontal inequalities in youth, social protection schemes, Better Governance Index and SDGs. Dr. Khan has published articles on “Dynamics of access in service delivery, local governance in domestic water supply and development policy failure in Pakistan: Institutional and Governance challenges. Dr. Khan was also the lead author of Southern Voice flagship report on Global Systemic concerns.
