Syed Ali Wasif Naqvi has recently completed his MPhil in Peace and Conflict Studies from National Defence University (NDU), Islamabad. Earlier, he did his Masters in Mass Communication from National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad. At inception level of his career, he remained associated with different media organizations, including ARY News, Pakistan Television News, and Sustainable Development Television (SDTV). Meanwhile, he has also worked with Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). While working with SDTV Unit of SDPI, he has produced news reports and short documentaries on different issues, including climate change, gender and transgender, economy, sustainable development, trade, energy crisis, etc. As member of SDPI research team, he has worked on a study titled: “Protecting and Promoting Freedom of Religion and Belief”. The study, now completed, dealt with minority issues in Pakistan. Currently, he is working as Project Associate on a study titled “Disaggregating Recruitment: Uncovering the Expectations, Obligations, and Hidden Steps in the Labor Migrant Recruitment Process”. The study deals with concerns over the lives, living conditions and employment conditions of unskilled labour migrants in Gulf Co-operation Council states.
