Dr. Waseem holds a PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies from the Center for International Peace and Stability (CIPS) at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad. Currently, he is serving as a Consultant on Bloomberg Initiative Tobacco Control projects at the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), Islamabad.  He has more than eight (8) years of experience working in tobacco control in Pakistan.  Dr. Janjua has also attended a host of tobacco control certifications and courses from around the globe, including a Postgraduate degree in Tobacco Control from JHU USA, Courses from the University of Bath UK, Thammasat University Thailand, and McCabe Center Australia.
