Nelam Pari is a rising climate expert and environmental scientist with a strong background in sustainability and a commitment to addressing the pressing environmental challenges of our time. She is currently serving as a Research Associate at SDPI, where she is working on "Feasibility Study on Plastic Recycling towards a Circular Future in Pakistan," a project conducted in collaboration with UNEP and the Living Indus initiative. Through her work, Nelam has gained significant expertise in climate resilience, environmental advocacy, and sustainability practices, with a particular focus on climate change, glacier melting, and environmental sustainability in the context of Pakistan.

Nelam has worked closely with government organizations on the development of wetland management plans for Gilgit-Baltistan and the forest policy, contributing to important environmental frameworks in the region. Her experience extends to integrating climate change policies at both regional and national levels, where she has conducted extensive research on sustainable practices and environmental risk assessments. Her work is centered on developing climate adaptation strategies that can help mitigate the effects of climate change while fostering long-term resilience. She is deeply involved in advancing climate resilience through policy development and implementation, working alongside stakeholders across various sectors to create sustainable solutions for a more resilient future.

A passionate advocate for youth empowerment, Nelam is dedicated to building the capacity of young leaders in climate governance and sustainability. She actively participates in programs that equip youth with the knowledge and skills needed to lead in addressing climate challenges. Her efforts in environmental diplomacy emphasize the importance of cross-sector collaboration, bringing together governments, the private sector, and civil society to tackle climate issues in a holistic and inclusive manner.

In addition to her work on climate adaptation, Nelam's research explores key areas such as climate adaptation, environmental policy frameworks, and the development of actionable solutions for climate resilience.
